Southern Hospitality: Charleston, SC

As my mom and I were planning a trip for January, we thought to ourselves, where is a place with great food, picturesque opportunities, AND somewhere neither her or I had been?  And so, Charleston, South Carolina came to be.  Charleston is filled with much more history than I had realized.  From the first gun shot of the civil war to the indoor slave trading that took place after slavery was abolished, this charming city has not forgotten the hardships our country has endured.  The people were incredibly nice and the food was fried, and delicious!
